Our Secondary School provides education to 11- to 16 – year-olds culminating in students sitting internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE exams. During the first three years students study a broad and comprehensive secondary curriculum based primarily on the English National Curriculum, in order that they develop the required skills and academic knowledge needed prior to beginning a number of core and elective two-year IGCSE courses when they reach Year 10. Formal assessment and coursework for IGCSE is externally graded and students generally sit their IGCSE examinations in Term 3 of Year 11.
Students in Key Stage 3 follow the English National Curriculum which provides a good foundation for study at IGCSE level and beyond. The broad range of subjects also allows students to develop interests which will help determine their choices when selecting a number of elective IGCSE during Year 9. Additional English language support is also offered to those students who require it in order that they are able to fully benefit from the curriculum.
